Head & Neck Cancer Awareness Week 2011

Another year, another success for Aintree's Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week campaign. The Unit held four seperate drop in clinic / health promotion days and managed to see a record breaking 214+ patients.

The drop in clinic at the Bootle Strand Shopping Centre was supported by smoking cessation services and Liverpool Community Dental Services.

Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week 2010 - Another Success!

November 2010 saw another jam packed week of events to promote 'Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week'.

The diary included three drop in clinics in the clinical areas and one all day drop in clinic at the Bootle Strand Shopping Centre. For patients and professionals the regional unit held afternoon and evening seminars aimed at informing community staff on Head and Neck Cancer issues; what to look for - who and how to refer?

The message was promoted to the region through local radio and regional television.
