Aintree Head & Neck 'Practice Development Unit'.

What is a 'Practice Development Unit'?
Practice Development Units (PDUs) are a major focus to support the development of a strategic clinical governance approach. They seek the development and sharing of best practice, effective interdisciplinary team working and learning and give a framework to guide and support development activity within the unit to ultimately improve the care given to patients. PDUs seek excellence, challenging current practice and questioning practitioners to develop services and the current supporting evidence base.http://www.bournemouth.ac.uk/cfpd/pdf/practice-development-unit-accreditation.pdf

History of the 'Aintree Head & Neck Practice Development Unit;.
The 'Aintree Head & Neck Practice Development Unit' is the new approach and direction of the MFU 'Practice Development Unit'.

To reflect the coming together of the two head and neck fields at Aintree it was decided to attempt a joint PDU accreditation submission.
