"On Saturday 6th September 15 brave participants took part in the Snowdonia ZipWire Challenge - the longest and fastest ZipWire in Europe.

They travelled at speeds of over 100mph over 500ft above the ground to raise well needed funds for HaNC - Head and Neck Cancer Support and Research.

Many thanks to every single one of you who took part - we have hopefully raised over £2,000!

We are hoping to arrange another ZipWire day in the Spring time next year so if anyone would like to take part next time please email Gill on"

Incredible month of fundraising - cheque presentation

Yvonne and Neil presenting Cheque to Professor Shaw

This truly amazing couple are Neil and Yvonne - Yvonne was diagnosed with mouth cancer 2 years ago and treated at Aintree.

Her partner Neil undertook an amazing month of fundraising in May - he completed a half marathon, a pier to pier walk (over 20 miles!) with 15 of their friends, a fundraising evening and 3 10k running events!

In total they raised just over £4,000 which will be used to support others with head and neck cancer along with working in partnership with Merseyside Regional Head and Neck Cancer Centre to fund research.

Yvonne and Neil can be seen here handing over their incredible cheque to Professor Richard Shaw, one of our World Renowned Consultants based here at Aintree.

On behalf of everyone at HaNC and Merseyside Regional Head and Neck Cancer Centre we thank you so much for all you have done xx

A massive thank you to Nat Lou Birkett for raising over £100 for Head and Neck Cancer Research and Support.
