ENT Unit

The Ear Nose and Throat Department (ENT) has a long established track record of treating head and neck cancer. The University Hospital Aintree provides a regional service for major surgery.

Ward 28 (ENT)

The ENT ward is located on Ward 28 (1st floor by the Aintree Lodge Hotel behind Accident and Emergency)

The Ward is split into teams A & B with designated nursing staff who will care for you during your stay. Please locate your Team for direct contact details.

Ward Visiting Hours

  • Monday - Friday 6pm - 8pm
  • Weekends and Bank Holidays 2.30pm - 4pm & 6pm - 8pm

For special circumstances visiting outside these hours can be made on an individual basis with the Nurse in Charge.

ENT Outpatients

ENT out-patients is held at the elective care centre, behind the main hospital building.

The Specialist Registrars are on a rotation that is linked with the Consultants within the ENT speciality. They are very experienced in the treatment and rehabilitation of Head and Neck Cancer patients and their families. They carry out a ward round everyday where they will review progress and implement a treatment plan for the day.
