Hyperbaric Unit

The regional hyperbaric unit is situated at the SPIRE Murrayfield hospital, Thingwall, Wirral. Occasionally patients are sent here for Hyperbaric Oxygen treatment to help counteract the side-effects of radiotherapy on the jaw bones. HBO treatment involves breathing higher concentration oxygen for short periods in a specialised multi-person chamber.
